Interesting facts about Velociraptors:

As fun as it is to imagine Velociraptors the way they’re portrayed in Jurassic Park, the truth is they were actually very different. For example, Velociraptor fossils have never been found in North America, they were much smaller than the villainous creatures in the movie, plus many scientists think they were feathered. The Deinonychus probably looked more like the Velociraptor of Jurassic Park.

Scientists think Velociraptors could jump as high as 10 feet (3 meters)!

Its name – “swift thief” – is apt, as it is thought to have been able to run up to 40 mph (60 kph) in short bursts.
